If You’re Not Registered You Can’t Vote!

votingIf you are not registered to vote you will not be able to take part in future elections such as the Greater Manchester Mayoral election taking place on May 4th this year.

Since the summer 2014 people registering to vote in England and Wales have had to register as individuals, using a secure  online system.  Therefore you as an individual are responsible for checking with the council if you are on the electoral register. If you are not then to be included on the electoral register you should use the website: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. You can also use the website to update your name, address or other details on the electoral register.

Registering takes around five minutes and you’ll need your National Insurance number.
